Join the YLC Mailing List
Membership is available to anyone regardless of age. Voting members must be between the ages of 21 to 42. There are many benefits to joining the Young Leadership Council. Our mission statement states that we are developing leadership through community projects. What that means for our members is that by volunteering your time with the YLC you will have a chance to both improve our city and region directly and along the way learn leadership skills directly by leading our projects and interact with people who are currently or will be our community's future leaders.
Community: The YLC provides an assembly ground for young talent in New Orleans. You will meet a community of dynamic individuals at monthly meetings, special events and through volunteer projects. 
Opportunity to Make a Difference: Every one of our projects over the years was conceived by our members. As a YLC member, you have the opportunity to propose project ideas any time.
Information: You’ll be better informed about what’s going on in our city through the YLC’s e-newsletter, Leadership Lunches and other events focused on informing members about important issues facing the city.
Access: You will interact with business, civic and government organizations and leaders.
Representation: Your voice will be heard on timely issues through member surveys, polls, discussion groups, etc.
Leadership Development: YLC provides a multitude of chances for leadership training through community service projects, as well as signature programs, including the Leadership Development Series, Toastmasters Club and Leadership Lunches.
